Politik konfidansyalite
Last updated: [to be confirmed]
This policy explains what this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers the website only — each published game has its own policy describing what that app does.
Who we are
Caribbean Games Inc. operates this website and is the controller of the personal data described below. To contact us about this policy or about your data, use the contact form.
Registered address: Caribbean Games Inc., 8 The Green, Suite A, Dover, DE 19901, United States.
What we collect, and why
We collect only what the site needs to work. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Nothing is measured until you agree to it. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics is loaded and no analytics cookie is set.
- Name, email, company and message, when you submit the "Work with us" form — so we can reply and discuss the project.
- Email, game, platform and message, when you submit the player support form — so we can answer you.
- Name, outlet and email, when you submit a press enquiry — so we can respond.
- Your email address, if you ask to be told when a game is released — kept until you ask us to remove it.
- If you agree to analytics: which pages you viewed, roughly where in the world you were, what device and browser you used, and how you used a page — how far down you scrolled, which outbound links you followed, which files you downloaded. This is collected by Google Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics and tells us which pages are worth keeping. It does not tell us who you are, and we never try to work that out.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Who else sees it
We share data only with the services that run this site, and only as far as they need it. They process it on our instructions.
Firebase Hosting, operated by Google, serves the pages. It processes the technical information any web server receives in order to deliver a page, such as your IP address.
Web3Forms receives what you type into a form and passes it to us by email. It does not store it beyond that delivery.
Google Analytics measures how the site is used, but only if you agree to it. It is not loaded at all until you do.
Ahrefs Web Analytics, operated by Ahrefs Pte. Ltd., also measures how the site is used, on the same terms: only if you agree, and it is not loaded at all until you do.
We use no newsletter platform. Addresses given for release notifications arrive in our own email inbox and stay there.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We do not keep data we no longer need. In practice that means:
- Enquiries about work, and press enquiries: 24 months after we last spoke.
- Player support messages: 12 months after the problem is resolved.
- Addresses given for release notifications: until the game is released and the announcement sent, or until you ask us to remove you — whichever comes first.
- Analytics data: Google Analytics keeps the event-level records for 2 months, which is its default setting. The summarised reports built from them — visit counts and the like, which identify nobody — are kept by Google for longer.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the data we hold about you
- correct it if it is wrong
- delete it
- restrict or object to how we use it
- send it to you or another provider in a portable format
- stop relying on consent you gave earlier
Cookies
The site remembers your language choice and whether you answered the cookie banner. Both are strictly necessary to show you the right page and to avoid asking you the same question twice, so neither needs your consent.
Google Analytics sets its own cookies to tell repeat visits apart. Those are not strictly necessary, so they are only set after you press Accept. Press Decline and they are never set. You can change your mind at any time using the link in the footer.
Security
The whole site is served over HTTPS and access to form submissions is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but not keeping data we do not need is the most effective protection available.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. If a change materially affects data we already hold, we will email the people it affects directly.
